• In the Middle Ages and Renaissance, it was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace.
• Celtic symbol  (Torso) - The Celtic symbol made up of three conjoined spirals in rotational symmetry is called Triskelion and means “three legs".  This Triple Spiral represents the family as mother-father-child, eternity as life-death-rebirth and past-present-future.  It is also believed to represent the three Celtic worlds: the spiritual world, the present world and the celestial world.
• Sailor's Knot (Neck) - This design features two intertwined ropes and may have been created by sailors during their long voyages as a means of remembering their loved ones. The Sailor’s knot is symbolic of friendship, affection, harmony and love.
